Causey Black Pearl Ranch is a testament to obedience, faith, and moving with intention. The number itself holds biblical weight—symbolizing restoration and renewal—and for us, it represents a divine assignment: to steward what we’ve been given, honor our ancestors, and build for generations yet to come.

The vision began with Mel, a woman who spent over 45 years developing geriatric services and programs ensuring African Americans and underserved communities experienced dignity, love, and the highest quality of life in their final days. Retirement didn’t end her calling—it expanded it. Inspired by her desire to create a safe space to nurture community by offering horse back riding lessons and trail rides, the vision of Causey Black Pearl Ranch was created.

But God had another plan. After a post retirement leadership trip to Cape Town, South Africa where she reconnected with the ancestral rhythm of growing food from the earth and living in harmony with the land, her vision for the ranch was expanded  to bring those values home.

This is more than a ranch. It is a sanctuary for rest, reflection, and reconnection. A place where heritage is preserved, families are strengthened, and faith is lived out in action. Every hoofbeat, every harvest, every gathering is a deliberate act of gratitude and legacy building.

We are here because our ancestors endured. We move forward because our children’s children will need somewhere to stand. Causey Black Pearl Ranch is the beginning of a greater story—one written in faith, cultivated with love, and built to last for generations.
